Leadership Opportunities

  • Student Congress. Not only do members of Student Congress help rally school spirit, they organize fund-raisers for causes such as disaster relief, Israel, and Magon David Olam (Israeli Red Cross).
  • Student Ambassadors. Selected seventh and eighth graders lead tours of the school for visitors and speak on behalf of the school.
  • National Junior Honor Society. Open to selected seventh and eighth graders chosen on the basis of scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship, and character. This group organizes such programs as Mitzvah Madness Day, a day in which all middle school students perform the mitzvah of feeding the hungry by assembling hundreds of lunches for children at Bea’s Kids and families at the Austin Street Shelter.
  • Vaad Tefillah. Through this organization, students can take on a leadership role in middle school services.
